J.A. Street & Associates designed and constructed the original 300,000 s.f. structure in Duffield and returned later to construct a 11,900 s.f. addition. The Albuquerque facility was Arizona’s second largest non-governmental building with nearly 18 acres under roof and the world’s largest mattress factory. Much of this facility is used for curing and storing foam and the factory is capable of producing 50,000 foam mattresses a month. Interior ceiling heights vary from 25’ to 45”. The building skin is designed as a combination of insulated concrete panels and insulated metal panels.
