Washington County Animal Shelter

The facility provides spaces for dog and cat kennels, local Animal Control officers and an associated Salley Port, a commercial laundry, isolation rooms, “Get acquainted” rooms and adoption rooms. The central portion of the building includes a clearstory and mezzanine. The building is a pre-engineered steel frame structure built on a concrete slab. Kennel areas have concrete sloping floors and trench drains throughout. To better facilitate maintenance of the floors, all floors in the kennel area were coated with an industrial marine paint and polished concrete floors in public areas.
