Laying the Groundwork
This process provides all design and engineering services through the design development phase of a project. Other services provided here are Value Engineering, Construction Scheduling and Cost Estimating.
The traditional process of a complete design through a complete set of construction documents or drawings is eliminated, along with the time and cost of a completely designed facility which does NOT meet the Owner’s objectives.
Input from the Owner is very important to this design stage of the project. As a result, the best possible design is created with full consideration of building quality, function, overall schedule and total cost.
A Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) with competitively secured local subcontract bids is provided to support a final decision. Construction can begin immediately upon Owner acceptance of the GMP prior to completion of all design documents.
